Cindy has a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. She has worked for Harris & Associates since 2000 in infrastructure design (specifically pipelines and roadways), and is an NPDES Storm Water Permitting and Compliance Specialist for public agencies. She is on the Board of the North American Society for Trenchless Technology (NASTT) and the Western Regional Society for Trenchless Technology (WESTT), and has served several years on the Program Committee for the annual National No-Dig Conferences.  Outside of work, Cindy enjoys international travel, the outdoors (camping, packing, hiking, biking), and anything related to water (scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, wakeboarding, fishing, boating).

Sasha is an Associate Engineer with CCCSD in Capital Projects Division. He has been with CCCSD since 1999. Sasha manages variety of projects in planning, design, and construction of wastewater collection system. He has B.S. in Civil Engineering from Sacramento State University. Sasha is a 2nd generation engineer and has over 20 years experience in engineering. His hobbies include SCUBA diving, international traveling, hiking, car racing, foreign movies, and house remodeling.

Bill has been employed by the Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District for over 11 years.  He has worked on the design and construction of interceptors ranging from 36 inches up to 10 feet in diameter, involving both trenchless technology and conventional open trench installation.  He has also been on the Project Management Team for the construction of two sewer pumping station, 10 and 40 MGD, in the City of Folsom and Citrus Heights.  He is a Professional Civil Engineer registered with the State of California.  Bill enjoys traveling, biking, photography, and tennis.

Roberts is a Associate Civil Engineer with EBMUD in Oakland and has experience with pipeline design, infrastructure asset management, and collection system master planning. He has a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of California - Berkeley. Outside the world of pipelines, Robs enjoys fitness, guitar, cooking, and teas.

Jimmy has a B.S in Civil Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He has worked as a designer since 2006 in infrastructure design, water and wastewater treatment plants, and construction management. Jimmy worked for a large General Contractor before coming to work in the design field. This is where he picked up a lot of valuable knowledge in the field that he has applied to his designs over the years. Outside of work, Jimmy enjoys traveling, seeing the sites, and visiting friends.

Sandie Dudley is a Civil Engineer and Project Manager with CDM in Walnut Creek, specializing in pipeline design. Sandie has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Santa Clara University and over 11 years of experience in design of infrastructure projects including both new construction and rehabilitation. In addition to her role on the PUG Board, she is also serves as Vice Chair of the CWEA Students and Young Professionals Committee. When she’s not working, Sandie enjoys training for marathons and triathlons, baking, knitting and spending time with her dog, Phoebe.

Thuy Nguyen is a Senior Civil Engineer with the City of San José, Department of Public Works.  She is currently in charge of the City’s sanitary sewer capital improvement program.  In her role as the Section Manager, Ms. Nguyen manages a section of 20 professionals (Engineers, Engineering-Technicians and Student Interns) to plan, design, build and rehabilitate the City’s 2,200 miles of sewers.  

Ms. Nguyen graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science’s degree in Civil Engineering and possesses a Professional Engineering License with the State of California.  Her first decade with the City focused on roadway improvement projects. She joined the Sanitary Sewer Engineering Section in 2001 and has been managing the sewer CIP over the last ten years.

Ms. Nguyen lives in San José with her husband and two young children.  In her spare time, she reads, knits and volunteers to read in her children’s classrooms to support the YMCA’s Project Cornerstone (a program to discourage bullies.)
